"Lazy man's nothing in the cupboard but Paneer (and shit)"

Fry garlic and stringily chopped onions until soft or about to brown, add tsp of cumin powder, tsp of garam masala, chilli powder. fry a little more. Add water, cubed paneer (prefried or nay), stock cube (veg flavour or not). Simmer for a bit (30 mins is nice)...add peas or froz spinach near the end

23:30:51 Rooster: when they're just starting to soften fry up some black mustard seeds, when they pop add some curry leaves, chopped chilli, and cayanne pepper

23:31:17 Rooster: fry for a bit, then add some chopped onion, fry until golden (golden golden)

23:31:33 Rooster: add a couple of tinned tomatoes and fry some more, then add the spuds and fry fry fry.

[1] Rononica says: ok, onions, garlic fry. At some point add diced potatoes and fry for a bit, douse in garam masala + cumin, some salt, chilli powder, fry. (Because I couldnt be arsed to open a tin..) add dollop of tom puree + tomato sauce for sweetness, add water. Simmer for ages. then add a bit of chicken stock and peas near the end

My version

Fry cumin seeds

Fry garlic and onions

Add Chopped chilli fry

Add Garam masala, tumric, chilli powder, corriander, stir

Add diced potato, fry

Add tomator puree and tsp sugar + some water and lemon juice

Add 1/3pt chicken stock

boil until spuds are done

Add peas

Cream of asparagus soup

Sweat some onions and a couple of cloves of garlic in some ghee/butter + olive oil for about 5 minutes over a low heat, don't brown.

Add asparagus chopped to about an inch and a half long (couple of packs, around 700-900g) sweat for 5 minutes more

Add vegtable stock (a pint or so), simmer for 10 minutes until asparagus is soft

season

blitz

stir in some chopped herbs (eg corriander) and season

add about 150ml of single cream and reheat very gentally so it doesn't split.

Eat.
