Hot and sour soup

  • pint chicken stock
  • couple chopped chillies
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • soy sauce (a few tbs)
  • white wine vinegar
  • balsamic vinegar
  • ground pepper
  • tabasco
  • mushrooms
  • spring onions
  • prawns
  • pork (Cooked. IIRC I got a 'chunk' from Londis and slow cooked it for a few hours).
  • couple tsp cornflower in half a cup water
  • 1 egg beaten
  • some ginger, sliced
  • some carrot sliced

boil chicken stock, soy sauce, tobasco, chillies, salt and garlic, with mushrooms and pork, and then simmer for 5 mins or so

Add the vinegar, pepper and simmer for a bit longer

add the carrot, ginger and sliced spring onions, simmer for another min or so

stir and add the cornflour solution, simmer for a minute

stir and add the egg, simmer for a minute

serve.
